This project explores diversity within the fashion industry, celebrating the cultural heritage and personal identity of my muse, Saniya. The collection draws inspiration from the diverse places she has called home, from India and Dubai to Malaysia, Indonesia and the UK. Exploring the contrasting beauty standards across these cultures, the project reflects on the challenges of navigating different ideals of beauty and the impact they can have on personal identity and self-expression. Through transformative design, the garments allow Saniya to adapt and reinterpret her style in response to each cultural context, celebrating the fluidity of identity and the individuality that exists beyond conventional beauty standards.
